Welcome!

Through many, many years, it has been the pleasure of dancing smoothly to good music and sharing a fun activity with wonderful people that have made square dancing attractive and long-lived. And square dancing with the Virginia Reelers is no exception. It's easier than you might think and it's a great opportunity to have some fun, meet new friends, and even get a little exercise!

 

The Reelers raided Circle 8's dance on January 29, 2010 and came away with another banner.

2009-2010 Dance Schedule

Our 2009-2010 dance theme and caller schedule as well as individual dance flyers are available for downloading and printing. Click here to visit our Document Center page. Dances from September through May are held from 7:30-10:00pm at Woodbrook Elementary School, 100 Woodbrook Drive, Charlottesville. Singles and couples are welcome. June, July and August dances will be held in air conditioned comfort at the Senior Center, 100 Pepsi Place, Charlottesville.

 

2009-2010 Student and Class Update

The Virginia Reelers congratulate seven (7) new members who successfully completed our fall 2009 mainstream class. They include Ted and Diane Parlette; Phil and Elissa Tatton; Bev Maresca; Peter Fink; and Debbie Willing. And on January 27th, we welcomed 14 guests, five (5) couples and four (4) singles, to our FREE dance class to open our Spring 2010 session!

 

Looking for Other Area Dances!

With so many clubs in Central Virginia and the Valley, you can find a square dance just about every weekend of the year! Be sure to check our our dance calendars for details on all dances, locations and callers!

 

Remember, if you bring a square of 8 to another club dance, you get to take their club banner home with you. The only way they can get it back, is to bring a square to your dance. It's a great way to increase dance squares and get to meet dancers from other clubs.
