FAQs

 

What is Western Square Dancing?

Using a list of standard calls and prerecorded music, the caller creates an original dance by singing or speaking directions to squares of 4 couples.

 

Do I have to come with a partner?

No, we have many singles, both male and female, in our club.

 

Can I learn to square dance in one night?

You can learn enough calls in one night to do some simple dancing, but it takes a series of lessons to learn all of the calls.

 

Do I have to wear those frilly skirts?

No, any form of casual attire is fine however, many dancers wear western clothing, prairie skirts and broomstick skirts.

 

How much does it cost?
